How far do you need to travel to enjoy traditional Mongolian food in a jurt? You could travel to Mongolia, of course – or you could visit Tschuka in her original Mongolian jurt in Tharandt. Before we dive right into our tips, we’ll start with a pointer to our upcoming Chinese Cooking Event, taking place next Friday, 20 February from 5 p.m. We have a talented Chinese “chef” who would like to prepare a Chinese dinner with you. Indian dinner night at the Welcome Center – Thank you, DJ!

What a wonderful evening! Indian guest researcher DJ cooked for a little exclusive group of international scientists in the Welcome Center. We had a vegetarian curry, dal, rice, a surprise and mango lassi. It was quite a challenge to cook all that on only two hot plates ;) We also ate with our fingers as this is the Indian habit. The international guests were exchanging stories about their home countries but also stories about their time in Germany – thank you a lot, we really appreciated that!
