Raised in the backwoods of Monroe County, Indiana, Austin Lucas was born into a folk and bluegrass lineage. Learning to harmonize before learning to read, his music takes you in the direction the Americana Roots and traditional country genre. Singing with the conviction of a preacher bereft of his faith, Lucas tackles recurrent themes of the soul, sin as personal purgatory, and the possibility of finding redemption in this life.

The dad uses his training as a former secret service member to kidnap people and blackmail money from the victim’s family. After the money is delivered, he kills his victims. His family uses the money for a social raise. The plot is based on a true story about a family between harmony and crime.
