Thursday, 06 July 2017:  Welcome Center Sommerfest at the River Side

Last summer we spent a wonderful international potluck evening with you guys right on campus to celebrate the summer. We would like to repeat this in 2017 and invite you for a potluck evening at the Palaisgarten next close to the Marienbrücke (to have shelter in case of rain). Please bring friends, blankets, food to share and your own dishes, we will care about soft drinks (which means: bring your own beer and wine). If you like also instruments or games are very welcomed.

Friday, 07 July 2017: Volda Vokal (choral music)

It’s not about the end, but all about the journey. This evening you can enjoy Norwegian and German choral music in the Dreikönigskirche in Neustadt. The choir comes form Volda in Norway and normally performs in the local church there. At the moment, they are touring through Europe and one of their stops is also Dresden.

Saturday, 08 July 2017: Rhino Soulsystem (party)

A man like a music box –  tall, big and heavy. Inside, its packed with everything a good club has to offer. Completely without barriers. Trap meets Drum’n’Bass, some house chil-out track grows into a heavy electro beat and 50cents follows up on Al Green. Sounds crazy and it is, the results is well-known. It’s a concept mixed from party, love, fun and sweat .. all night long.

Sunday, 09 July 2017:  Casper and the stolen granny (puppet theatre)

Casper and his dog Struppi just wanted to make some music –  but then his lovely granny sends him to buy groceries. As she is already preparing everything in the kitchen, is baking and brewing the hot coco, she decided that Caspar could be nice and help her out. On his way there Casper and Struppi meet the evil bandit Murx buying eggs, flour, butter and sugar – but what does he want with that? And there is also the mad crocodile lingering around. But Casper can manage everything – or can he?

Sunday, 09 July 2017: Monsieur Pompadour (concert)

In summer 2014, the French Bohemian Monsieur Pompadour arrived in Berlin. Since then, also a Belgian singer, a Hungarian violist, a highly silent bass and a noble guitarist were admitted to his illustrious circle. They founded an ensemble and dash around the cities and play at one tea party at another. Their music is best described as gipsy swing.
