Thursday, 16 March: Chapter 5 Dresden – Ostpol bar (music concert and bar)

This is one of a kind bar at the Neustadt quarter. A DDR styled ambience full of mystery and charm. In addition, this Thursday the ‘Chapter 5’ band will be the main attraction. The promise is of a night of Indie pop American acoustic folk and vintage music. The band is composed by three young students from the German city of Würzburg, which are excited to show their talent and amuse your night. Certainly a good entertainment option for this Thursday night out.

Friday, 17 March: 1st Street Food Festival Dresden

The First Street Food Festival in Dresden, that will take place from 17 to 19 March, will offer you exotic tastes thanks to its 60 international stands. Dishes of all forms and colors will stimulate your appetite: ice-cream, tapas, fried insects, crocodiles or giraffes… also vegans will find many different options for their tastes. Moreover, there will be live music that will contribute to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Saturday, 18 March: International Friends Dresden (Meeting)

Take the chance to meet international people in a relaxed atmosphere. With your friends or alone you can join the NM9 Shop & Lounge community and you won’t get bored! Right between Altstadt and Neustadt, you will find a place where to sit on comfortable sofas and drink good beer. Purpose of the evening is to make new friends and have fun all together.

Sunday, 19 March: 27. International City Run Dresden (Sport)

The 27th international Karstadt Sports City Run offers different challenges: from the main run of 10km and the 5km run, which will go through the historical city center of Dresden, to the 3.3km Jana Bürgelt student run and the 500m kids run. The day will start with the students run at 8:45 a.m. At 9:20 a.m. there will be the kids run, at 9:40 the 5km run and at 11:30 will be the last departure for the 10km run.

Monday, 20 March: Jazzfanatics (music entertainment)

The Real Monday Night Long Island Ice Tea Jazzfanatics Orchestra will offer you a unique experience with a mix of Mainstream, Bebop, Hardbop, Fusion and Funkjazz, with their incredible arrangements and solos.

Tuesday, 21 March: Certain Women (original with subtitles)

The director Kelly Reichardt links three stories with four women living in different cities. The film is based on the short stories of the writer Maile Meloy, and tries to go beyond the stereotypes of female characters in films giving them realistic connotations and facing them with problems of the everyday life. Certain Women is an enjoyable film in which relationships are enriched by small things of the everyday life and not by great events. With the help of an incredible cast -with Laura Dern, Michelle Williams, Kristen Stewart and Lily Gladstone- Reichardt has created a touching film with great visual impact.

Wednesday, 22 March: Älternabend – Tanzvergnügen für Erwachsene (Party)

The legendary party for young and old, the perfect occasion to spend a nice evening of amusement while drinking and dancing. DJ Edi will play hits of the last years you can´t help but dance to.
