Thursday, 17 August 2017: (U)Hör(Bar) – (un)hear(able) – experimental concert

You will get served a very special acoustic cocktail in this bar by El Perro Andaluz. This artist used ingredients which might seem strange in an concert atmosphere such as silence and normal environmental sounds. It is not entirely new, however it is still rare and therefore worth to listen to those unusual compositions.

Friday – Sunday, 18 – 20 August 2017: Cannaletto – The city festival

Tuesday, 22 August 2017: Choir Night

The Dresden Jazz choir is creating an open air night with other Dresden choirs in a marvellous atmosphere. The repertoire of this choir covers traditional jazz pieces as much as modern pop music in their very own interpretation. So enjoy the evening and be surprised by the music.

Wednesday, 23 August 2017: Dresden Organ Cycle at Kreuzkirche

This event is part of the musical cycle organised by the 3 big inner city churches of Dresden – Frauenkirche, Kreuzkirche and Hofkirche. As all 3 churches have very diverse Organs, they decided to create the so called ‘Dresdner Orgelzyklus’ to bring the beauty of their instruments and of classical and liturgical music to a broader audience. This weeks musician usually plays this special instrument in the US. But at the organ festival invited him, he follows and shares his talent with you.
