Thursday, 18 May:  Wonderful Town (operette)

The musical of Leonard Bernstein is about the story of two sisters coming from a really small town who move to New York to find a good job. Through their story, you will feel the spirit of the magic metropolis. The city that never sleeps offers many possibilities to people from different countries and the chance to develop new perspectives. For the music, Bernstein mixes sounds of the swing-era and his personal idea of symphonic metropolis. A really worthwhile occasion to discover the incredible city of New York through an entertaining story and enjoyable music.

Friday, 19 May: Beer Pong Festival (beer pong)

A great evening with beer pong tournament and party is waiting for you! 30 Teams have already qualified but everyone is invited to join and play! The tournament will take place in a club, so that DJ’s will accompany the whole evening with music and you will have the chance to dance and enjoy yourself even while you´re not playing. Are you ready for the challenge?

Saturday, 20 May: Bönischplatz Festival (festival)

You´re invited to celebrate the spring-month of May in Bönischplatz! Citizens, clubs and organizations can take part to the fest with their own stands while on the stage the will be events for the entertainment of all the visitors: music, chores, children circus, dancing shows and much more! Everyone is invited, not only families but also curios and open-minded people who wants to spend an enjoyable day!

Sunday, 21 May: International Day of Museums (events in museum)

To celebrate the international day of museums, the “Technische Sammlung” of Dresden has prepared a program full of enjoyable activities. There will be circus performances, aerialists, live music, puppet theatre, second-hand markets for films, flip-books and much more! Don’t miss the chance to take part to such a great event!

Monday, 22 May: Embrace (original with subtitles)

“Embrace” is an Australian documentary film about women’s body image. Surveys have shown that 90% of women are definitely not satisfied with their bodies and the director Taryn Brumfitt has collected material to discuss this issue. An inspiring film to change the way we think about ourselves and our bodies. No one is perfect, but we have to learn to love ourselves!

Tuesday, 23 May:  The forgotten Land (ballett)

The ballet is the expression of the fear of oblivion of Jiri Kylian. The choreographies, with modern dance, express the celebration of life with a tribute to the lands, times and beloved passed by. An anxiety that affects everyone in some moments, but that can be transformed in a positive feeling and that can create a real piece of art.

Wednesday, 24 May: Animal´s Carnival (operette)

The perfect way to celebrate spring-time is to enjoy the spectacle of Animal’s Carnival. The piano performance of Naomi Shamban and Eveline Riine Rannik will accompany the dances of cackling chickens, wild donkeys, roaring lions, jumping kangaroos, slow elephants, exotic birds and many other animals. An amusing and pleasant performance for the ones who love music and animals, and, of course, the perfect entretainment for children.
