Thursday, 6 April: Find Your Pension (information event)

As internationally mobile researchers you might have already wondered on what will happen when you retire and what pension benefits you can expect. Or you want to know what the differences between the statutory (DRV) and supplementary (VBL) pension scheme are. We have invited experts from both organizations who will explain how to claim your pension on retirement and if you’re entitled to collect it when leaving the country.

The dance projects of Yeri Anarika Vargas, that have already gained national recognition, have become a cult status between Dresden’s pupils. Working together, the young guys take their uncertainties, ideas and life plans into the center of the spectacle. In Tomorrowland the students show how their lives are running and what could be in ten or 15 years. Their motto? “Tomorrowland” belongs to us!

Friday, 7 April: Easter Handicraft (workshop, family friendly)

The Easter bunny might be a bit too busy in these days, so don’t miss the chance to tinker your own Easter presents! You have time from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. to create your personal presents for friends and relatives. Then, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. the balloon artist Ines Zeun will enchant young and old with her creations. The perfect occasion to have fun with friends and family!

Saturday, 8 April: Easter Art Market (market)

Celebrate the spring with the Easter art market. Experience the traditions, spring creations and culinary specialties of Saxony. There you will meet 55 selected manufacturers and will have the chance to get inspired by their creations for special gift ideas. Take part to the rare wine tasting of selected specialties. During the Easter bunny workshop, young and old guests will have the chance to tinker their own Easter gifts.

Monday, 10 April: Jamsession (music)

After a while of abstinence, the Jam-session begins again. From now on, every month on the second Monday, with the best company, everyone is invited to jam! No matter if you are new to jam-sessions, the purpose is to have fun all together. The basic instruments are there at disposition, but bring all your stuff to make it even more fun!

Tuesday, 11 April: Mike Singer (concert)

Regarded as the new star of the German music market, Mike Singer, even before having published any CD, had a considerable number of fans on social media such as Youtube, Facebook and Instagram. His first EP ‘Nur mit Dir’ (Just with you) has been released in autumn 2015. After his first sold out tour with Ado Kojo in January 2016, he’s back on the stage!

Wednesday, 12 April: Ghost in the Shell (movie, original with subtitles)

The American science fiction action film directed by Rupert Sanders and based on the Japanese manga of Masamune Shirow, starring the incredible Scarlett Johansson. The film is set in the near future, where humans and robots live together. The protagonist is a woman whose brain has been placed in a cyborg body with the aim of transforming her in a perfect soldier. Discover her adventures and take a glance at this scaring cyborg future!
