Thursday, 14 July 2016: Sunset Mission (singer/ songwriter concert)
This is a concert night with the two Canadian singer/song-writer, Damien Jurado and Mark Berube.‘Visions of Us on the Land’ is the final instalment of Damien Jurado‘s trilogy, which began with 2012’s ‘Maraqopa’ and continued with 2014s ‘Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son.’ ‘Visions’ is the last part of the story, which began when a character had to disappear from society in order to discover some universal truths. With one foot rooted in the folk music tradition of storytelling, the poetry of spoken-word, and the other planted in a childhood love of South African music, psychedelic folk pop and a smattering of jazz, MARK BERUBE has a broad and eclectic base from which to build his albums, all bound together by his warmly potent voice.

Tuesday, 19 July 2016: Schleife rockt – Open air Rock Festival
Frank Turner – For three long and often lonely years of life on the road, plying a brand of honest and passionate folk/punk, Frank Turner continued to rise to prominence with an ever increasing following. But it was in the sweaty climes of the Lock Up Stage at Reading and Leeds 2008 that his solo career really started to take off. Inside the packed out tents, heaving with adoring fans and intrigued passers-by, Frank led the congregation in a mass sing-a-long; a stirring set that not only sparked the interest of the British mainstream but resonated unassumingly across the pond as a wealth of American punk bands watched approvingly from the sidelines.

Mother Tongue was founded in Austin, Texas, in October 1990. Jesse Tobias (Guitar), Geoff Haba (Drums) and Christian Leibfried (Guitar) had already been playing together when they found their new bass player in David Gould through an ad in the newspaper. They played their first local concert at Al’s Bar in downtown L.A. Many more live shows followed and Mother Tongue was quickly gaining traction and establishing themselves in the music scene as one of the most dynamic and explosive live acts around. With minimal promotion, word of mouth noteriety and intense over-the-top, sweat blood live performances Mother Tongue has steadily built up a fiercely loyal fan base throughout Europe. Their ‘give all, every show, no matter the consequence’ approach to performing has gained the band an undeniable respect and noteriety as one of the most exciting live acts to witness. Mother Tongue has existed, grown and forged forward with a fierce integrity, die hard work ethic and unwavering vision.
