Thursday, 4 May: Cello Duello (concert)

The cellists Jens Peter Maintz and Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt will delight you with their musical talent. Their full program consists of music from J. Haydn, S.N. Eichberg, A.-F. Servais, D. Popper and N. Paganini. The press praises Cello Duello as “artistic pleasure”, so don’t miss the chance to hear them live and enjoy an incredible concert!

Friday, 5 May: Open Workshop (children activity)

At this open experience workshop, children will have the chance to try out techniques and materials that they usually won’t find in children’s rooms, schools or kindergartens because they need too much space or because they soil. The workshop will focus not on the final product but on the experience of the kids. A nice activity for children that can try new experiences, learn by doing and at the same time meet new friends. Don’t forget to wear appropriate clothes!

Saturday, 6 May: Your endless mark (long-term performance)

The Dresden artistic duo Sutter/Schramm likes to entertain their audience with unusual spectacles. They often work on the basis of action-reaction. In this way they create videos, canvas paintings, sculptures, drawings and watercolors. Really important for them is the repetition of movements, gestures or forms in an infinite loop, till they reach a meaningful status. The duo will present for the first time a long-term performance that will last for all the three opening days of the exhibition. Aren’t you curious to see what is going to happen?

Sunday, 7 May: Live Radio Show of Marie-Caroline Hominal (show)

Marie-Caroline Hominal is a dancer, choreographic and performer that lives in Geneva. She has already performed in Hellerau, but this time she will entertain the audience with a live radio show that will host many artists of the springhouse. Many interesting topics will be discussed: life, love, death, frustration and euphoria. The whole event will be live and spontaneous with interesting possible kicker. Monday, 8 May: Jazzfanatic Orchestra (jazz night)

Monday is the day for jazz and who could express it better than the Jazzfanatic Orchestra? Their entertaining rhythmus and their riveting performance will make you spend and enjoyable evening. There will also be great compilations from mainstream, bebop, hardbop, fusion and funkjazz. All that will be enriched with incredible arrangements and even more incredible solos. Starting with jazz, your week cannot but be great!

Tuesday, 9 May: Radiophon (jamrock)

The Radiophon band offers a mix of funk, rock and blues. The combination of elements of polka, swing, pop or ska creates unic songs and the energy and powerful sound of their performances contributes to the realization of a show that you cannot miss. After their east European tour, they are here in Dresden to entertain the audience of the Groove Station!

Wednesday, 10 May: In Bed with Victoria (original with subtitles)

A French comedy-drama film directed by Justine Triet. The story of Victoria, a single mother that has to face the difficulties of raising alone two daughters while struggling with her difficult job of criminal lawyer. Her life gets even more complicated when, at a friend’s wedding, she meets again an old friend, Vincent, and an old client, Sam, becomes her new Au Pair. Between comic and dramatic moments, you will enjoy the story of this incredible woman.
